The German was only appointed in the summer, replacing
Neil Redfearn, but has been shown the door by the club's owner Massimo Cellino
just 11 games into the Championship season.
Rosler oversaw just two wins from his 11 league games and
Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Brighton has proved to be his final game in
charge.
Former Rotherham boss Steve Evans is understood to be
Cellino's top target to replace Rosler and could be installed by Monday
afternoon.
Evans will become the sixth manager appointed by
Cellino since his takeover of the club in April 2014.
As well as Rosler and Redfearn, the controversial
Italian businessman has also dispensed with the services
of Brian McDermott, Dave Hockaday and Darko Milanic during
his Elland Road tenure.
Evans will be a hugely controversial appointment by the
Leeds chief.
The 52-year-old has enjoyed success with Crawley and
Rotherham, but is not a popular figure with many football fans.
He has courted controversy throughout his career
and was found guilty of tax fraud for disguising wages and
bonuses as expenses during his time as Boston manager between 1997-2002.
