Get ready for more articles — of clothing, because Playboy will no longer feature naked women.
The iconic magazine known for its sexy centerfolds and racy spreads of
nude ladies will start covering up the Playmates and celebrities who
pose for its pages starting in March, the New York Times first reported
The decision to partially clothe the pin-ups was approved last month by
Hugh Hefner, the 89-year-old editor in chief who founded the magazine
in 1953, according to the Times.
The availability of pornography on the Internet helped shape the decision, company executives told the paper.
“That battle has been fought and won,” said Scott Flanders, the
company’s chief executive. “You’re now one click away from every sex act
imaginable for free.”
