One furtive photo, and Chris Brown just snapped.
The free-swinging R&B singer became the target of a Las Vegas police probe into a one-punch fight where Brown allegedly slugged a woman — again.
The blowup reportedly occurred at a private party inside Brown’s suite
at the sprawling hotel off the Vegas Strip. Brown, 26, had performed at
Drai’s Beachclub and Nightclub in Sin City on New Year’s Day.
The dispute began when the victim tried to snap a picture of Brown, who
allegedly struck the woman and stole her cell phone, a police statement
 said.
When detectives arrived at Brown’s hotel room to speak with him, the
chart-topping singer had already disappeared from the resort, according
to the statement.
But the victim, Liziane Gutierrez, left the party and called police,
TMZ.com reported. The gossip site posted a photo of her swollen red eye
in the aftermath of what happened.
Cops said she identified Brown as her assailant.
Brown addressed the allegations in a profanity-laced Instagram video
deleted Saturday night, where he disparaged Gutierrez's age and looks
and claimed to have never seen the victim before except in a separate
Jason Derulo video.
“Obviously somebody looking to get a check or start some s—-,” Brown
said. “Look at her in the Jason Derulo video. She came to Vegas, she
probably came to my room and was too ugly to get in.”
Gutierrez was identified as the scowling woman denied entrance to Derulo’s party bus in August, according to TMZ.
Derulo claimed to not know Gutierrez either, especially when she
reportedly accused the hip-hop performer of inappropriate behavior
toward his female passengers.
Browns’ reps also told TMZ Gutierrez was tossed from the early-morning bash after her behavior became increasingly bizarre.
According to the unidentified Brown mouthpiece, the police were
summoned by Gutierrez to retaliate for the hit-making singer’s
disrespect toward her.
Gutierrez, a curvaceous Brazilian model, told the gossip site that she
snuck her cell phone past Brown’s security into the exclusive bash.
Brown spied her taking a photo amid the revelers — and he “went off,”
yelling at her and punching her once in the face, according to TMZ.
This wasn’t the first run-in for Brown at the Palms Casino. The R&B
singer — whose latest album “Royalty” debuted at No. 1 on the
R&B/Hip-Hop charts — reportedly punched a man after an argument
during a pickup basketball game in May.
No criminal charges were pressed by the victim. Brown was only two
months removed at the time from finishing his probation in the notorious
2009 beating of his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. The attack occurred just
hours before the couple was due at the Grammy Awards.
He pleaded guilty to felony assault, and remained on probation until
last March amid a series of issues ranging from his failure to finish
his community service to a 2014 punchout of a man outside a Washington
hotel.
