Elton John isn’t feeling the love tonight—or any other night—for pop star Janet Jackson.
In a new Rolling Stone interview, the music legend attacked the popular singer and claimed she lip syncs during her shows.
“I’d rather go and see a drag queen. F--- off,” the vocal artist told the magazine.
“You know, f----- music magazines writing a review of Janet Jackson saying, "'This is the greatest show —four and a half stars,'” he told the magazine, referencing positive reviews of her performances.
Jackson is currently on a world tour for her eleventh album, “Unbreakable."
“It’s f----- lip synced! Hello! That’s not a show!” the 68-year-old continued.
The 49-year-old “Rhythm Nation” star has yet to respond to the harsh
comments but she’s not the only one the “Tiny Dancer” singer has accused
of not singing live.
The British singer ignited a long-lasting feud with Madonna in 2002, when he proclaimed “Die Another Day” as the worst James Bond song.
Two years later, he publicly shamed her at the Q Awards.
“Madonna, best live act? F--- off," he told the audience.
“Since when has lip-syncing been live? I think everyone who lip-syncs
onstage in public when you pay, like, 75 quid to see them should be
shot. Thank you very much,” he continued.
After more public critiques, John apologized to the “Material Girl” singer in 2012.
Meanwhile, Jackson recently announced she will perform at the Dubai World Cup on March 26.
