Bolton Wanderers have parted company with manager Neil Lennon.
The Northern Irishman's departure follows the recent takeover of the Championship club by the Sports Shield consortium, led by former striker Dean Holdsworth.
Lennon, who had been in the Macron hotsteat since October 2014, won just 18 of his 80 matches in charge.
Bolton have been blighted by financial troubles throughout his reign and are currently bottom of the Championship, 11 points adrift of safety.
They have won only four times in the league this season,
with Saturday's 2-1 reverse at home to Preston their 19th defeat in 27
games.
Academy manager Jimmy Phillips has been put in caretaker control ahead of this weekend's trip to Bristol City.
A club statement read: "Bolton Wanderers can announce that the club have today, Tuesday 15 March, parted company with manager Neil Lennon by mutual consent.
"All at Bolton Wanderers would like to thank Neil for his contributions during his time at the club.
"Academy manager Jimmy Phillips will take charge of the first team on an interim basis."
