Education sector gets software for e-learning

The country’s education sector is set to receive a boost with the introduction of the 2016 version of Cinfores BrainFriend, known as BrainFriend Platinum, an e-learning and exam preparatory software.
The company said that software would not only set the stage to revolutionise the ailing education sector in e-learning, but was in line with meeting the Sustainable Development Goals
of giving access to and enhancing qualitative education.

The Managing Director and Co-Founder of Cinfores Limited, Mr. Ibifuro Asawo, said that Cinfores had championed change in the education sector through its products and services in e-learning, schools/campus administration, scholarships management, among others.

“Consequently, its various stakeholders’ engagements with students, teachers, school administrators, at both the federal and state levels as regards BrainFriend, has been reassuring and impressive,” he said.

“This is so because the software has the capacity to provide enhanced education and give access to education to both disadvantaged and underserved children of school age, across board,” Asawo said.

He added that as a proven tool for enhanced academic success, Cinfores had already sold over 500,000 licences of the software in both public and private schools, as well as homes, and with a few state and national project deployments.”

“Over seven Original Equipment Manufacturers have signed up to bundle it along with their devices, in addition to the existing list of OEMs that have been bundling the older version of the software,” he said.

Asawo said that the 2016 BrainFriend Platinum, which was billed to commence shipping soon, had many features, including over 70,000 questions/answers/explanations based on the national curriculum.

“It also has 59 subjects, including the three major Nigerian languages, and five vocational subjects. It also carries the new national curriculum for schools in Nigeria, e-books to guide students and teachers, video lessons and animations on themes and topics in various subjects, educational games, career guide for students and teachers, and aptitude test items, among others,” he said.

Asawo said that BrainFriend Platinum was a deviation from the traditional teaching methods, but designed to complement the traditional teaching and learning processes.

“It is an enhancement on the previous versions of BrainFriend as the videos, animations, documentary drama and educational games are all new features that take teaching and learning to a whole new level.

“These features were designed to reinforce teaching while making learning more fun and simpler,” he said.

He stated that both corps members and graduates without education background could effectively deliver quality lessons to pupils and students of different learning levels using the software.

Asawo said that the 2016 BrainFriend Platinum could also be used to bridge the gap for children in Internally Displaced Persons’ Centres or refugee camps who had been cut off from the structural school setting due to the causes for their displacements.
