Laurer was found “peacefully” in her Redonado Beach, Calif. home, her
agent Antony Anzaldo told the Daily News. Her cause of death was
unknown.
TMZ reported police were at the home early Thursday morning investigating the death as a possible overdose.

On her social media pages, Laurer's management wrote "She will live
forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved
her."
Known also as the “ninth wonder of the world,” the muscular Laurer, who
fought both men and women, was a trailblazer for women in the wrestling
field.
She was the first woman to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Her groundbreaking career with WWE also included becoming the first
female competitor for the King of the Ring tournament and she was a
founding member of the wrestling group D-Generation X.

After her famed wrestling career, she turned to modeling, reality
television and adult films. She continued to break records, becoming the
first wrestler to pose for the cover of Playboy magazine in 2000.

Her death comes less than two weeks after the death of ECW wrestler Balls Mahoney.
