Wrestling champion Joanie (Chyna) Laurer dies at 45

Former wrestling champion Joanie Laurer, known better in the ring as Chyna, died Wednesday afternoon at the age of 45.

Laurer was found “peacefully” in her Redonado Beach, Calif. home, her agent Antony Anzaldo told the Daily News. Her cause of death was unknown.

TMZ reported police were at the home early Thursday morning investigating the death as a possible overdose. 

R.I.P, Oscar-winning actress Patty Duke dies at 69

Patty Duke, an Oscar-winning actress and the beloved star of the 1960s sitcom “The Patty Duke Show,” has died at 69.

The Hollywood icon passed away Tuesday after suffering sepsis due to a ruptured intestine, her manager Holly Shelton confirmed to the Daily News

 

Actress Patty Duke passed away Tuesday at 69.

“She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a friend, a mental health advocate and a cultural icon,” Shelton said via email. “She will be greatly missed.”

Maurice White, co-founder of Earth, Wind & Fire, dead at 74

Singer Maurice White, whose velvety smooth voice and songwriting flair powered Earth Wind & Fire, died Thursday after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

He was 74.

The soul singer died in his sleep in his Los Angeles, the gossip site TMZ first reported.
