Actress Hayden Panettiere has once again checked into a rehab facility
for her ongoing postpartum depression, which she says has “impacted
every aspect” of her life.
The “Nashville” star took to Twitter on Thursday to announce she was still fighting with the condition — seven months after she first sought treatment.
“The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life,” she explained.
“Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have
chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life.” she
continued. “Wish me luck!”
The news comes on the same day Panettiere’s ABC show was canceled after four seasons — a season short of hitting its 100th episode.
The 26-year-old actress is reportedly seeking help in a Utah treatment center, US Magazine reported.
The petite blond beauty has been open about her mental health struggles
since she welcomed her daughter, Kaya, in December 2014.
She took a break from her show last October as she checked into a facility — around the same time her TV character was battling the condition on the small screen.
Panettiere, who is engaged to world champion boxer Wladimir Klitschko, resumed filming in March and told Yahoo Style the disorder brought about the most “debilitating” and “guilty” feelings.
“That a mother would not be able to connect with their child, would not
be able to get a grip, or would not know what’s going on, for anybody
to say that it’s false or created by us, you must have your head
examined,” she said.
