West Ham chairman David Gold has told Middlesbrough to 'dream on' if they want to sign
Michail Antonio this summer.
Boro finished second in the Championship last season and
will return to the Premier League
for the first time in seven years this August.
The club have now set about formulating a list of transfer
targets for the upcoming summer transfer window to bolster their squad for the
new season.
Antonio is reportedly high on Middlesbrough's shortlist
after manager Aitor Karanka sent scouts to watch him in action last month.
But Gold has now poured cold water on the rumour by tweeting
his surprise at Boro's belief that they can sign the 26-year-old.
Evening Standard – Newly promoted
Middlesbrough have reportedly identified Michail Antonio as a key target this
summer. (Dream on. dg)
