Some beers taste like piss — but here’s one actually made from it.

Scientists in Belgium — where else? — created their unique brew from
urine at a local festival, turning partygoers’ ultimate waste into just
another way for them to get wasted.
So like the Lite Beer slogan, it’s less filling and tastes great at the same time.
“We can make the best beer in the world starting from urine,” said
Denis De Wilde, a brewer in Ghent, Belgium, who used a special machine
to extract clean water from urine and then turn that water into a lager
dubbed “From Sewer to Brewer.”
Here’s how it works:

“It’s a good illustration of the water cycle,” De Wilde said.
Scientists at the University of Ghent think their machine could provide
fertilizing minerals and clean water for people in developing areas
where electricity isn’t readily available.
“We’re able to recover fertilizer and drinking water from urine using
just a simple process,” said researcher Sebastiaan Derese.
Or you could just make a few beers.
