Donald Trump has beef with Vanity Fair.
The president-elect slammed the magazine and its editor Graydon Carter,
67, after it published a scathing review of his restaurant Trump
Grill.
"Has anyone looked at the really poor numbers of @VanityFair Magazine.
Way down, big trouble, dead! Graydon Carter, no talent, will be out!"
the soon-to-be pres wrote on Wednesday.
Vanity Fair reporter Tina Nguyen argued that the steakhouse, located
inside the lobby Trump Tower, could be the "worst restaurant in America"
criticizing the cheeseburger as a "sad little meat thing."
Trump's angry tweet spurred hundreds of comments from social media users
claiming that he's wasting his time making petty remarks about the
glossy.
"You're going to be President of the USA. Start behaving like one," one user wrote.
Another added, "Watch out @VanityFair! After Trump assumes the Presidency he'll arrest you all for making fun of him."
In addition to skewering Trump's restaurant Wednesday, Vanity Fair
recently published a story "fact-checking" his friendship with Kanye
West and a piece on his struggles finding a performer for the
inauguration — with the headline "someone has finally agreed to perform
at Donald Trump inauguration."
Trump's vendetta with Carter -- who is also a restaurateur -- dates
back to the 80s when the editor referred to the president-elect as a
"short-fingered vulgarian" in a now-defunct Spy magazine.
The reference caused people across the country to poke fun at Trump's
hand and finger sizes, even leading him to throw up his hands at a
Republican debate and shout, "Look at these hands. Are these small
hands?"
