Artificial Fuel Scarcity to be given permanent solution - Orman Esin

The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Transport , Mr Orman Esin has assured Akwa Ibomites that his ministry is working to find a lasting solution to the recurring fuel crises in the State.

The commissioner who expressed sadness about the unpatriotic actions of independent marketers who usually used any disagreement between tanker drivers and security agencies to exploit the masses, stated that he was exploring ways of providing a permanent solution to the frequent impasse. 

While speaking with the media, Mr Esin hinted that as part the of steps to put an end to the perennial problem, he would be having a roundtable meeting with the S.A to the Governor on petroleum and all stakeholders in the AKS petroleum and transportation sectors to confront the issues head on. 

He also revealed that his ministry will be remodeling the former Akwa Ibom Transport Company (AKTC) complex to a compliance and monitoring department of the Ministry of transport to curb the negative effects of touting in the state. He explained that already personnel to man the department were  being trained and would be equipped with modern equipments for greater efficiency.
The oron born politician further said that as part of innovations for best practices, his ministry will make Park Clearance Tickets available to commercial commuters. 

He urged the people of Akwa Ibom to remain calm in the face of the artificial fuel price hike as the ministry of transport was working assiduously to solve the transportation challenges in the state in line with Governor Udom Emmanuel's Vision for an industrialized Akwa Ibom.
