Spider-Man: Homecoming’ trailer features a younger, more energetic Peter Parker

Youth will be served.
The official trailer for “Spider-Man: Homecoming” has dropped, and it certainly shows the adventurous side of Peter Parker.
In much of the trailer, Parker (played by Tom Holland), aka Spider-Man, a new Avengers recruit, is shown arguing with Iron Man (of course played by Robert Downey, Jr.).

The rest of the trailer, however, including much of the action, seems to revolve around Parker battling an enemy called Vulture, in part to see if he is ready to become a global crime fighter.

“Can’t you just be a friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man?” Iron Man asks Parker as the latter is shown springing from place to place using his web.

“You’re the Spider-Man, from YouTube!” a classmate soon tells Parker at school. The two are shown in a comical scene as this friend tries on the Spider-Man suit, which is a bit snug.
“The rich and powerful, like Stark, they don’t care about us. The world’s changing, boys, time we changed, too,” Vulture, played by Michael Keaton, says.
As the action intensifies, it seems Parker fails, for Iron Man comes to collect the Spider-Man suit.

“I was just trying to be like you,” Spider-Man says.
“I wanted you to be better,” Iron Man returns. “If you’re nothing without this suit, then you shouldn’t have it.”
Later, Vulture is shown in a strange, winged suit, and at one point says, “I want you to understand. I’ll do anything to protect my family.”
“I will kill you, and everybody you love,” Vulture adds.

Soon, it’s clear that Spider-Man has to deal with Vulture on his own.
“Just, don’t do anything stupid, alright?” Iron Man warns.
The film, hitting theaters July 7, 2017, appears to be a departure, of sorts, for Marvel, in that the villain seems to be an average family man (versus one-offs or a sentient computer or adopted Asgardian god).
Keaton appears to bring realism to the role — in a film that of course is still a summer blockbuster. But the touches could be advantageous for Marvel, which is attempting to bolster its villains as its movie cycle continues.

Outside of Holland, Keaton and Downey, Jr., “Homecoming” also stars Zendaya, Donald Glover and Marisa Tomei.
