Khloe Kardashian has being sued by photo agency for allegedly posting picture without permission in the new copyright lawsuit.
Xposure Photos is suing the reality star for allegedly posting one of
their pictures of her on her Instagram account without crediting them or
getting permission to share it, according to court documents obtained
by People.
The United Kingdom agency claims Kardashian shared the picture on Sept.
14, 2016 — a day after she and one of her sisters were snapped by a
shutterbug outside the Komodo restaurant in Miami.
The suit alleges Kardashian, 32, even doctored the image to remove the agency's copyright information.
Xposure is suing the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star for $150,000
in damages, and claims Kardashian hurt their ability to sell the image
to costumers.
"Kardashian's Instagram post made the photograph immediately available
to her nearly 67 million followers and others, consumers of
entertainment news — and especially news and images of Kardashian
herself, as evidenced by their status as followers of Kardashian — who
would otherwise be interested in viewing licensed versions of the
photograph in the magazines and newspapers that are plaintiff's
customers," the filing reads, according to People.
A rep for Kardashian did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
