day that will bring to Nigeria, two Grammy awards winners:
American Saxophonist, Najee and UK Singer-songwriter, Joss Stone. The event also features Haute Couture on the runway, showcasing the rich culture of fashionable Lagos over the last five decades.

Professor George W Russell Jr, Chair of the Harmony Department at the
famous Berklee College of Music will be on hand to give a Music and
Business Masterclass to music lovers with an intensive immersion into
the minds of modern masters making unique impact. The UBA sponsored
Master Class on Music & Business is a key part of the two day
celebration and top UBA executives will present to the participants on
how to make music your business.

Runway Jazz will engage stakeholders from a broad spectrum of
industries and feature some of Africa’s finest entertainers like Waje,
Dede, Yinka Davies, Donald and Xerona Duke amongst others. It promises
to be one of the biggest music and fashion events of the yearon the
continent. Acclaimed designer, Lisa Folawiyo will be displaying her
latest JBL designs on the runway.

April 30 - The International Jazz Day, a worldwide initiative is
designated to celebrate Jazz music as a symbol of peace and unity
amongst nations. Created by UNESCO in 2001, its focus is to promote
peace, intercultural dialogue, diversity and respect for human dignity,
eradicating discrimination, foster gender equality, and promote
individual expression. International Jazz Day is the culmination of Jazz
Appreciation Month, which draws public attention to jazz and its
extraordinary heritage throughout April.
