FASHION: ZII STUDIOS

We decided to team up with Nigerian brands to create a series of fashion editorial story inspired by the brand/Designer's collection.#boldeditorialseries

First in line is burgeoning Nigerian womenswear brand Zii Studios. According to the creative director, the latest collection was inspired by everyday life in Lagos as well as topical trends. 'The use of gingham to create beautiful silhouettes and designs was inspired by how the fabric, which at one point or the other, has been worn by almost every youth in Nigeria can be transformed into something beautiful and luxurious.' she added.

After having a look at the collection, we came up with the idea of shooting around water, the sea side to be precise. We wanted to embody the idea of a modern goddess emerging from her shores.

Shot by fashion photographer Ademola Odusami, top makeup artist and Revlon ambassador decided to go for minimal but striking makeup features to compliment the designs and embody the aesthetics of the shoot.
