Media Mogul Oprah Winfrey has extended her brand to the refrigerated
aisle of supermarkets, where her own line of soups and sides come with a
healthy twist.
Based on the idea that comfort dishes can be healthy, the O, That’s
Good! brand is in collaboration with Kraft Heintz and marks Winfrey’s
first food line.
The new sides, which are separate from Winfrey’s role as a Weight
Watcher’s spokesperson, features such dishes such as mashed potatoes
with cauliflower mixed in. The broccoli cheddar soup includes butternut
squash in place of some of the cheese. There are eight choices. Each
sells for under $5.
“This product line is real, delicious food with a twist,” Winfrey said in a statement.
The emphasis on feel-good food with a focus on smart nutrition fits for
Winfrey, who has battled weight gains throughout her career.
O, That’s Good! soups and sides hit grocery store shelves nationwide by October.
