Stars-studded at erena Williams and Alexis Ohanian wedding in New Orleans

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian are married! The tennis superstar and Reddit co-founder wed in an intimate ceremony on Thursday at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, according to multiple reports.

Williams, 36, and Ohanian, 34, said “I do” in front of a star-studded crowd, including their baby girl. Venus Williams, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Kim Kardashian, Caroline Wozniacki, Ciara, LaLa Anthony, Colton Haynes, Anna Wintour, and Eva Longoria and José Antonio Bastón have all been spotted in town. It’s unclear whether Jay-Z made the trip, but if he did, it was a short one, as he is scheduled to perform tonight in North Carolina.

Entertainment Tonight reports the theme of the event was Beauty and the Beast, and upon arrival, attendees were greeted with cocktails and the song “Be Our Guest.” The outlet says Williams will do an outfit change before the reception, which is set to last until 3 a.m.

Friends and family at the wedding were banned from using cellphones, as Page Six reports the couple signed a deal with Vogue for exclusive pictures of the wedding. That would make sense, given Wintour’s attendance. According to E! News, attendees followed a similar protocol at Wednesday night’s rehearsal dinner, leaving phones at the door as they entered Emeril Lagasse’s Meril restaurant. Williams wore Versace — and was photographed leaving the bash in Nikes — for yesterday’s occasion.

It has yet to be confirmed what the bride wore on her big day. While Versace is rumored to be a contender, it’s also been floated around that Williams could be wearing Galia Lahav. E! claims that a gown from the designer arrived at her house on Wednesday.

Williams and Ohanian’s nuptials come less than three months after the tennis champion gave birth to their daughter, Alexis. It’s the first child for the pair, who began dating in 2015 after a chance run-in in Rome. Ohanian admitted he “never watched” a match before meeting Williams and she had no idea what Reddit was.

“I felt like a door had been opened to a person who made me want to be my best self,” Ohanian told Vanity Fair of their love story, earlier this year. “I find myself just wanting to be better by simply being around her because of the standard she holds.”
