The festive season is on its way, and who
better to ask about holiday dressing and accessorising than supermodel
Karlie Kloss? Here the star of Swarovski’s sparkly new holiday campaign
shares her top fashion tips.

Who’s your style icon?
I have always looked to Grace Kelly and
Audrey Hepburn for inspiration. Their styles were effortlessly chic and
timeless — two characteristics I strive to incorporate into my personal
style.
What are the three jewellery pieces every woman should own?
Stud earrings, a watch and band
rings make great foundation pieces that you can wear everyday and layer
with other looks. And of course, anything that holds sentimental value
goes a long way. For me, those are the matching bracelets my dad would
give my sisters and me every year around the holidays, and the gold ring
my mom gave me from her collection growing up.
What’s your favourite accessory trend this season?
Chokers are really elegant and flattering, especially for holiday parties.
What’s your go-to everyday look?
I like to keep my everyday style simple
and wear clothes that are comfortable, chic and versatile. High-waisted
jeans, a tucked-in tee and a fitted blazer or a dress paired with Stan
Smith sneakers are a couple of my go-to off-duty looks.
And evening look?
When I’m going out with friends, I love
mixing high fashion and casual pieces. One of my favourites this year
was an outfit I wore for my birthday. With the help of my stylist Karla
Welch, I paired a simple white tee with a long purple leather skirt and
Giuseppe Zanotti heels. It was a fun, bold style that captured my
personality.
What does glamour mean to you?
To me, glamour is about defining and then
elevating your individual style. Personally, I define that as wearing
something slightly daring, such as a bold accessory, piece of jewellery
or article of clothing. Confidence is key, so love and feel comfortable
in whatever it is you’re wearing.
What’s your message to GLAMOUR readers?
Happy holidays, GLAMOUR South Africa!
Enjoy this very special time of year with friends and loved ones, and I
hope to see you in 2018!
