As the Liberians await the outcome of the delayed presidential run-off election to choose incumbent President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf's successor, the West African country is at the threshold of making a history.
No doubt, the success of this very crucial election would see Liberia through its first peaceful and democratic transfer of power in more than 70 years.
The runoff is between former international football star, George Weah and incumbent Vice President, Joseph Boakai.
Weah won the first round of elections on the 10th of October, 2017 with 38 per cent of the total votes cast, while Boakai came second with 29 per cent.
Weah and Boakai, however, fell short of the constitutional requirements of the 50 per cent plus one absolute majority vote needed for a winner to emerge in the first round, thus the run-off.
Everyone is keenly awaiting to hearing the final results of yesterday's run-off election.
All eyes on Liberia.
Whoever emerges as the next president would need to focus on the economy and improve on the living conditions of the people of Liberians.
Liberia and Liberians have seen it all and the progress/growth already recorded must not recede.
