A Dana aircraft has been involved in another near mishap as it overshot the Port Harcourt runway.
The aircraft, number 9J0363, flying from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers State may have overshot the runaway due to "a heavy rain, which was accompanied by strong wind and storm in Port Harcourt," spokesperson of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN),
Henrietta Yakubu said in a statement.
The statement, however, added that "no casualty was recorded, as all passengers on board were safely evacuated."
This is coming almost six years after the airline’s flight from Abuja to Lagos crashed, killing all the 159 persons on board on June 3, 2012 in Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos State.
