Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has welcome his Nasarawa State counterpart, Tanko Al-Makura of All Progressives Congress (APC) to Ekiti.
Al-Makura is in Ekiti State to conduct the APC governorship primaries scheduled to take place tomorrow in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
Fayose, in his usual sportsmanship manner and politics devoid of enmity, exchanged greetings and gave Al-Makura a warm reception.
It would be recalled that former Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi (APC), refused to formally welcome the then president Goodluck Jonathan (PDP) in 2014 when the latter came to campaign for Fayose.
Fayemi, who is presently the Minister of Mines and Solid Minerals Development, is also an APC governorship aspirant for tomorrow's primaries.
Let's advance the argument: Would Fayose formally welcome President Muhammadu Buhari to Ekiti State whenever the President goes to the state to campaign for an APC guber candidate ahead of the July 14 governorship polls?
Time will tell...
