Africa’s Foremost Financial Institution, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc has
won (in six categories) the 2018 Electronic Payment Incentive Scheme
(EPIS) awards organized by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the
Nigeria Inter-bank Settlement System (NIBSS).

The Bank won the following awards:
- Best Customer Experience Award
- Cashless Driver: Card usage on Point of Sale (PoS) terminals
- Cashless Driver: USSD channel champion
- E-Reference operations
- Point of Sale (PoS) transactions acquiring efficiency
- Cashless Driver: Real-time Payments
The EPIS Efficiency Awards is organized to celebrate financial
institutions, merchants and other stakeholders at the forefront of
driving electronic payment in Nigeria. With six awards, GTBank took home
half of the dozen honors won by Banks and had the highest number of the
total awards presented to the financial institutions, Fin-techs,
merchants and other stakeholders in the Electronic Payment Incentive
Scheme.
In due recognition of the Bank’s leading role in Africa’s banking
industry, owing to its bias for world-class corporate governance
standards and excellent service delivery and innovation, GTBank has been
a recipient to numerous awards over the course of the year. They
include Best Bank in Nigeria by Euromoney, Bank of the Year by EMEA
Finance and African Bank of the Year by Africa Banker Magazine
