NIGERIAN- Peoples Democratic Party candidate/Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has been declared winner of Enugu West Senatorial election for the fifth time. He got 86,088 votes to defeat his rival, Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu of All Progressives Congress, who scored 15,187 votes.
Also, PDP candidate/Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has retained his seat as member representing Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency in Bauchi. He polled 73,609 votes to defeat his APC opponent, Dalhatu Kantana, who scored 50,078 votes. Dogara would be representing his constituency for the fourth consecutive time.
PDP candidate, Dino Melaye, has also defeated his APC rival, Smart Adeyemi. He polled 85,395 votes to defeat Adeyemi, who scored 66,901 votes.
Young Progressives Party candidate/Chairman, Capital Oil & Gas, Ifeanyi Ubah, has emerged winner of Anambra South Senatorial poll. He scored 87,081 votes to defeat his PDP rival, Chris Uba and the incumbent Senator, Andy Uba, who got 62,462 votes.
APC candidate /former Abia State governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has also been declared winner of Abia North Senatorial poll. He got 31,203 votes to defeat his PDP opponent/incumbent Senator, Mao Ohuabunwa, who scored 20,801 votes.
