Recognition
for positive behavior is an appropriate response from the social
environment to elicit desirable external behavior among the youth. Such
positive responses, triggered from various social systems, is what we
made Queen Moremi The Musical not just an evening entertainment piece
but more on the historical heroism awareness and self realization for
the youth to take the center seat in solving today’s societal challenges
that we battle daily.
Queen
Moremi’s unique personalities,
that we are utmost proud of, embodies
all of these heroic elements such as selflessness, determination,
loyalty and patience which has been put in the minds of the audience.
Positive
behavior recognition is especially important to youth’s development
because it promotes identity formation as well as cultivates moral
reasoning and social perspective thinking from the various personalities
she exhibited. The practical implications of these positivity is when
the audience left the hall feeling inspired, pumped and super excited to
be the change they want to see in the society.
The
first thing you think about when you hear Queen Moremi The Musical is
how intriguing the audience at Terrakulture felt with the dramatic
performance of the untold stories of our greatest female heroine that
came from the African soil. The beauty of the show was it’s ability to
capture the attention of the audience throughout the time span of the
play. You can safely say that there was never a dull moment! Queen
Moremi The Musical broke records becoming the first stage play centered
around a true life female heroism in Nigeria, to have sold out on all 27
of its shows with the extra shows added due to popular demand by the
audience. It is remarkable that hundreds of people went in their numbers
to see the play, however, it was even more interesting to realize that
many of the viewers saw the play more than once. This alone demonstrated
that it was a play rich in culture and content. Noteworthy was the fact
that it wasn’t centered around entertainment for just the Yoruba folks
but had a widespread acceptance across various cultures in Nigeria and
beyond. It was endearing to see non Nigerians turn out excitedly to come
watch our culture in full blast.
During
the show the older generation expressed their assurance about how
relieving with the musical one of the most selfless, confident heroism
act of our time that Queen Moremi Ajasoro exhibited is forecasted to be a
sound wake up call for the younger generation.
The

social media to express their excitement and also we were also there to

Eventually
saw Queen Moremi The Musical with a friend today, I would categorize it
differently from other productions though it was a collabo, it’s a
history play, well researched and good acting performance by cast and
crew. Alot of A-List actors =, experienced actors and super good new
faces I just got to know. The opening for Precious was electric! I got
sold from there
Rukeme Ikogho from Twitter, Lagos
Queen
Moremi the Musical gave me chills, I cried in between, I still can’t
tell if it was the action alone or the major act of Moremi I felt I was
just discovering
Catherine from Twitter, Lagos
Queen
Moremi… the Musical. This is officially the best stage play i’ve seen
in a long time. Awesome casts, costume and crew. The excitement from the
clips on social media was super underrated.
Queen
Moremi The Musical is super timely in the recent discussions and spring
up of gender equality. This musical was made by and for women “In
superhuman culture you don’t see a lot of women and relieving Moremi
shows that just like we can be finance analysts, business entrepreneurs
we can also be great leaders in our society. And the key learning is
that she earned her equality right as opposed to begging for it. We are
happy to have exposed our younger generation to taking ownership ,
especially the females.
The
success of the December editions which includes the sell out of the
estra shows and clamor by people to have another edition is why we
believe the director Bolanle Austen-Peters, concept creator Princess
Ronke Ademiluyi, the executive producers, House of Oduduwa Foundation
and Rejuvenee is bringing back 21 Raving show this Easter, and we are
more than ready for the electrifying show.
Save the Date April 18th -
May 5th, expect more dramatic costumes
