Senate President Bukola Saraki is in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

The Nigeria Senate President had travelled primarily to the oil-rich country to attend the 140th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Meeting. 


After the opening ceremony of the IPU meeting, Saraki took time out to meet with the Prime Minister of
Qatar, His Excellency, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani in Doha.

The Senate President said he "raised the issue of visiting visas not being granted to Nigerians wishing to visit Qatar" and the Prime Minister "promised to look into this issue."

From this point, Saraki visited the Embassy of Nigeria in Doha. "There, I was received by the Charge D’Affaires, Auwalu Namadina and other Nigerian Foreign Service Officers," Senate President said.
 
Not done yet, the Senate President visited the headquarters of Al Jazeera Network. 

"I stopped by at the Al Jazeera News Headquarters in Doha, Qatar. There I was received by the Acting Director for Global Brand Management, Muhammad Ihtisham Hibatullah," Saraki said.
