National Energy Conservation Manager at the Nigerian Bottling Company (Coca-Cola), Ayodeji Dada, has been named the Energy Manager of the Year (Sub-Saharan Africa) for his outstanding work on energy efficiency projects in Nigeria.
The award by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) was announced at the World Energy Engineers Conference (WEEC) held on September 24, 2019 in Washington D.C., the United States of America.

The AEE, comprised of over 18,000 members, recognised individuals and companies that have recorded outstanding accomplishments in promoting the practices, principles of energy management and development, and for superior service to the association.
Dada, a Certified Energy Manager (CEM®) and a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), has executed over 60 high level energy projects with average savings of $2 million per annum over the last nine years.
He has conducted several energy audits within industrial sector and has implemented energy saving projects successfully.
Dada is the first Nigerian to win this prestigious award and is also the inaugural President of the Association of Energy Engineers, Nigerian Chapter.
