NIGERIA- Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba
Moro has stressed that the security challenges facing the nation at the moment
is temporary. Comrade Moro, who said this at the weekend, in Okpoga, Okpokwu
local government area of Benue state, during a reception held in his honor by
Ede-West ward, maintained that the administration of President Goodluck
Jonathan has the capacity to tackle the Boko Haram insurgency and restore total
peace to the country.
He decried the unnecessary bickering in the nation’s polity, noting that it is not healthy for the system and averred that it is only through unity and support for the government that the country can
develop. “This system is working; because as we all know that the country is coming from a background of decayed infrastructure. Goodluck is passionate about the development of the nation. He is restructuring Nigeria and he needs our support”, he said.
The minister also, drummed support for the Senate President David Mark for 2015 election, describing him as bastion of hope for the Idoma nation and advised anyone angling for his seat to wait as ‘there is no vacancy’. He lashed out at All Progressive Congress (APC), describing it as ‘Angry People’s Congress’, whose aspirations will tear apart soon.
