Charlie Sheen is definitely winning.
Two days after a Philadelphia waiter was rewarded with a paltry 20-cent
tip from Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, the "Anger Management"
actor is publicly offering the server $1,000.
"Please tell Rob K I'm pledging 1000 dollars to him for the tip
debacle just wanna help. C #NoJudgement," Sheen tweeted
Wednesday.
The actor's surprise good deed
comes after burger joint, PYT, posted a photo of McCoy's receipt on their Facebook page
Monday.
After a $61.56 meal, the NFL player
— who signed a $45 million contract with the Eagles in 2012 — left an
eye-popping 0.03% tip.
"New record!" the restaurant sarcastically posted before further
slamming the star athlete in a second post
Tuesday that accused him and his three companions of having additionally
been "verbally abusive to our staff in the most insulting ways."
McCoy, for his part, called the issue over his tip "bulls***"
when
questioned by Philadelphia Daily News. He declined to elaborate.
Tommy Up, owner of PYT, tweeted a photo of Sheen's offer himself
Wednesday, while calling the actor "an American hero and a
gentleman."
