Celtic FC of Scotland defender, Efe Ambrose was yesterday spotted at
the Super Eagles training at the Ahamdu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
Ambrose was one of the high-profile names overlooked by Coach Stephen
Keshi for the Chad clash but that nonetheless, the right back was among
the fans that came to watch the Eagles strategize for Saturday’s AFCON
qualifying match.
The Celtic defender said he was holidaying in Kaduna, which has
always been his base and decided to offer support to his teammates
currently on national team duty.
Meanwhile anxious Kaduna fans defied the pleas of Coach Stephen Keshi
to have a closed-door session with the Super Eagles yesterday
afternoon.
The fans who had enjoyed watching the former African champions since
they arrived in the Crocodile State on Sunday forced their way into the
Aham Stadium to have yet another glimpse of the national team yesterday.
Some of the fans that spoke with FCNaija.com said there was no basis
for them to be locked out of the stadium; however, few others agreed
that the Big Boss was right to ask for a close-door session, as
preparations are now at a crucial bend for Saturday’s game.
