The Blues have endured a disastrous start to the season and
Mourinho has not been afraid to criticise a number of his senior stars in
public, with Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic among those to come
under-fire.
But Luis, who returned to Atletico Madrid in the summer after just one
season at Stamford Bridge, has warned Mourinho that he may
need to change his outspoken approach.
The Brazil international said: "He has his way of
talking to the press, especially when the team loses, which can sometimes be
damaging to certain players.
"Some players benefit from criticism but for others
they don't."
Luis, however, insists he harbours no grudges towards
Mourinho and looks back on his time at Chelsea fondly, despite making just nine
Premier League
starts.
"I consider my time with Chelsea a personal
triumph," he said.
"In one year I won two titles -- one being the Premier
League. I have a trophy at home that not many people have and in possibly the
most competitive league in the world."
