Hoor Al Qasim and Matthew Zorpas of QASIMI RISING, Olowaseun Adebayo, and moderator Koko Akinrele discussed the impact of collaboration as key to growth within the fashion ecosystem.
Next, “Sustainability in African Fashion” brought together Bobby Kolade of BUZIGAHILL, Bubu Ogisi of IAMISIGO, Ria Ana Senjpal of LILABARE, and moderator Ifunanya Dozie of Future Textiles Africa, emphasizing the need for eco-friendly materials and lasting design inspired by cultural heritage.
For “Leveraging Digital Platforms in Fashion,” Shaheena Usman of The Qode, Ijeoma Balogun of Redrick PR, Noble Igwe of StyleVitae, Michelle Adepoju of Kíléntár, and Ifeoma Odogwu of Hyperfashun explored how brands can connect with audiences through original content, intentionality in digital strategy, and the need for relatable content across platforms like Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok. Closing the talks, “Fashion as a Catalyst for Change” featured Hoor Al Qasimi, Awa Meite, Adeju Thompson of Lagos Space Programme, and moderator Kike Ojewale of Dentons ACAS-Law, discussing how fashion can drive activism and protect African design heritage.
