SEX: 9 Women Share the Weirdest, Most Random Sex Dreams They've Ever Had

We’ve all woken up from a particularly strange sexual dream and been like, "What the hell just happened? And why?"

Well, some experts suggest that the people you hook up with in your wildest sex dreams (ahem, T-Swift) are just representations of yourself. But others emphasize that those random people, like an ex, a celebrity, or even your BFF are symbols of your unmet needs or desires. (Usually, your dreams don't actually mean you want to do the dirty with a vampire or bang your best friend.) Good to know, right?

With all of that said, it doesn't make those bizarre sex dreams any less weird. Here, we asked women about the kookiest sexcapades they've ever had in dreamland. Behold:

"One time, I had this really weird dream that I was having sex with Mel Gibson. I have no idea why it happened. I don’t think I had recently watched any of his movies and wasn’t thinking about him that day, which made it even weirder to me. The strangest part: He had that Braveheart face paint on." —Daphne C.

A couple of months before I finally found a new job, I had a sex dream featuring him. In the dream, I actually liked hooking up with him in his office.  "The weirdest sex dream I’ve ever had was one where I banged my best friend’s husband, who was her fiancé at the time. I want to say I was never in to him like that, but why else would I have had a sex dream about him? I woke up feeling like I’d betrayed my friend, even though I didn't really do anything. The dream took place in their kitchen, specifically the kitchen island. I must have made a lot of noise when I woke up because my friend asked what was wrong. I just said I had a bad dream.  "I have these dreams where I’m boning the vampire named Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I doubt that vampire sex dreams are uncommon, but I’ve been having the same sex dream on and off for 15 to 20 years. I used to wake up excited and sad that it was over, but now I wake up and wonder why I keep having the same dream over and over. I haven’t looked into it because I’m worried I’ll learn something about myself that I’d rather not know. Plus, the dreams are kind of nice." —Maya T.
