Sisters are doing it for themselves — and for Planned Parenthood.

The women’s health organzation — and conservative lightning rod —
continues to benefit from creative protests launched by women who object
to governmental interference with their rights (and ladyparts).
Singer Missy Modell and writer Siobhan Thompson teamed up with Planned
Parenthood to remake “How Lovely to be a Woman” from the musical “Bye,
Bye Birdie.”
In the video, Modell perkily sings about how “it gives you such a glow,
to know, your rights are getting repealed.” A photo of incoming Vice
President Mike Pence — one of the non-profit’s fiercest opponents — sits
on the vanity.
Another creative measure comes from two teens — they identify themselves
as LGBTQ couple Gabe and Jules — who’ve created lollipops shaped like
vulvas through their site “Send Trump P--sy.”
“We’re on a mission to show Trump and America that we’re unsatisfied,”
their website says. Upon purchase (just $3.99 plus $1 shipping), the
lollipops will be sent to Trump Tower — and half of the profits will go
to Planned Parenthood.
The pops, Gabe and Jules told The News, are made with a 3D mold and
filled with basic lollipop filling. The couple said they're at over
2,200 orders already since late last week and are aiming for 6,000 pops
to send all at once the Monday after Christmas.
These efforts come on the heels of a viral grassroots movement that saw tens of thousands of people donate to Planned Parenthood in the name of Vice President-elect Mike Pence.
