A limo driver busted in the Kim Kardashian jewelry heist in Paris was
released Tuesday night, along with the chauffeur's brother and another
suspect arrested in the robbery probe.
Another 14 suspects remain behind bars following the Monday morning raid, authorities said.
Brothers Michael Madar, 40, and Gary Madar, 27, worked for a car service
that Kardashian employed the night of the harrowing theft last year at
her Paris hotel. It’s unclear which sibling was behind the wheel of the
private car that dropped her off at the posh hotel.
Gun-slinging robbers stormed into Kardashian’s private room
on Oct. 3 and tied her up. The thieves made off with nearly $10 million
worth of jewels, including a prized $4 million ring, while Kardashian
was locked in the bathroom.
A French judge may travel to the United States to speak with Kardashian about the investigation.
French authorities have until early Friday to charge the remaining
suspects, whose ages range from 23 to 72, before being forced to set
them free.
