Access Bank Plc has indicated its
willingness to partner the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines,
and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) on the forth coming 38th and 2017 edition of
the Kaduna International Trade Fair holding from February 24 to March 5,
2017.
Disclosing this at the bank’s
headquarters in Lagos, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Access
Bank Plc, Dr. Herbert Wigwe, who played host to a five-man delegation
from the chamber who were on a courtesy visit to the bank, assured that
the financial institution would participate at the fair.
“We do enjoy a very long personal and
professional relationship with people. So for the Kaduna international
Trade Fair we’ll come, we’ll participate. And I’ll definitely be present
on one of the days. We’ll sponsor one of the events, either the quiz or
the dinner, whichever one,” Wigwe assured.
The President of the Chamber and leader
of the delegation, Dr. Muheeba F.Dankaka, had while highlighting the
activities lined up for the 10-day programme said: “The theme of the
fair is ‘Promoting Public-Private Partnership as Panacea for Accelerated
Growth and Development.’
The opening ceremony is to hold on
Saturday, February 25, 2017, while the trade fair seminar comes up on
Monday, 27th February, 2017 at Conference Hall, Kaduna International
Trade & Investment Center and the chairman of the occasion is former
president Olusegun Obasanjo.
“Our prayer is for the bank to sponsor
the quiz competition whose total cost including prizes and media
coverage is put at about N2.4 million; or the farewell dinner in honour
of the exhibitors of the 38th Kaduna International Trade Fair whose cost
is about N2.5 million”, Dankaka added.
