Alex Rodriguez swung for the fences at his latest business sit-down by bringing along Jennifer Lopez to help discuss the deal.
The former Yankees slugger was accompanied by his pop star girlfriend —
herself a highly accomplished businesswoman — to a meeting in New York
about a "post baseball opportunity" on Monday, TMZ reported.
Rodriguez, 41, reportedly wanted J. Lo present at the meeting because
he values her aptitude for business matters and considered the
consultation to be very important.
Lopez, 47, and A-Rod showed up separately but left together at around
1:30 p.m. — about a half hour after the longtime MLB third baseman
arrived, according to the celebrity gossip site.
The two stars were first linked together romantically last month and
have frequently been spotted together in the weeks since, including last
Friday when they dined for lunch at Marea in Manhattan.
A-Rod broke his silence
about his high-profile relationship with the "On The Floor" singer last
week, gushing over Lopez during an interview on "The View."
"She's an amazing, amazing girl," Rodriguez told the panel last Friday.
"One of the smartest human beings I've ever met, and also an incredible
mother."
Rodriguez, who retired from Major League Baseball following his final
season with the Yankees in 2016, has had little trouble adjusting to
life after baseball. He joined Fox Sports as a full-time MLB analyst
earlier this month after serving as a guest commentator for the network
during the last two World Series.
Lopez, who was linked to hip-hop star Drake before A-Rod, has not publicly commented on the new relationship.
