President Muhammadu Buhari was on Wednesday absent at the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), PUNCH reports.

This is the second time the president is missing the FEC meeting since his return from UK for medical treatment.
Penultimate Wednesday, he was absent from the meeting and the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed said he was “not ill,
” as being speculated, adding that he was absent because he had to attend to other official matters.

Last
week Wednesday, the meeting did not hold, and the presidency said it
was as a result of the Easter Holiday and Cabinet members received their
briefs late.
Vanguard reports that “about 20 ministers” were “equally absent”.
The acting Secretary to the Government of the Federation Dr. Habiba Muda Lawal was present at the meeting.
