#Russia2018: Buhari Tasks Super Eagles, as Players Leave for London || PHOTOS

President Muhammadu Buhari Wednesday held a farewell reception at the State House in Abuja for the Super Eagles players ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup, urging them to be good ambassadors and carrying the passions, emotions and feelings of over 180 million Nigerians in each of their games.
 

"Nothing unites Nigerians more than football and nothing will gladden the people of Nigeria than for you to acquit yourselves honourably by winning in Russia..."

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in a release named a 24-member Super Eagles heading to London for the friendly match against England.

The players include: Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Francis Uzoho, Abdullahi Shehu, Elderson Echiejile, Leon Balogun, William Ekong, Chidozie Awaziem, Ola Aina and Tyronne Ebuehi.

Others are Kenneth Omeruo, Bryan Idowu, Wilfred Ndidi, Mikel John Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Mikel Agu, Joel Obi, John Ogu, Odion Ighalo, Simeon Nwankwo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and Ahmed Musa 

NFF, however, said Moses Simon was also "on the plane as a further scan on the extent of his injury will be carried out in London."
