"I have maintained that those around President Muhammadu Buhari are his greatest enemies. They don't tell him the truth or they give him wrong advise...or may be they do advise him and rightly too but he doesn't listen or take their advise.
"How can one be preaching the gospel of taking Nigeria and Nigerians to the NEXT LEVEL on one hand, yet,
on the other hand you are telling governors and indirectly Nigerians that they should EXPECT TOUGH TIMES and reechoing that the ECONOMY IS BAD....I think, feel and assume that all Nigerians know that even the deaf and blind know that our economy is bad. We have heard this story since May 29, 2015.
"I still don't get it. I still don't understand how Mr. President and his campaign team, Buhari Support Organisation (BSO) plan to convince Nigerians ahead of the 2019 election for their votes in the face of this conflicting phrases cum thoeries or comments. I am a single voter anyway, perhaps the rest of our 200 million population which includes the Internally Displaced Persons in Chad, Cameroun and Niger Republic may not see it from my point of view. They don't even have to...or do they?"
"At a time or point like this, talking about few weeks to the election,
the voters or electorate want to hear things that will naturally lift
their spirits. Please, I don't mean lies, complains and excuses. I mean
convincing them with facts and figures of better days ahead based on the
achievements made so far....if there is any. It's very simple. Telling
the people that they should EXPECT TOUGH TIMES is like reminding them of
the bitter and ugly experience of the immediate past which they are in a
hurry to forget.
"We are talking about a people who are just getting dry from the wetness of the heavy downpour of a biting recession. We are talking of a people bruised and battered by hunger and starvation. We are talking about a people who have forgotten about the natural feeding principle of THREE SQUARE MEALS daily. We are talking about a people whose governors have failed or outrightly refused to pay their salaries...worst still while the recession lasted. We are talking about a people who have been unable to pay school fees of their children on account of no salaries. We are talking about a people most of whom have withdrawn their children from private schools and enrolled them in poorly equipped public schools. We are talking about a people whose country has been labelled the poverty capital of the world.
"How can you convince a hungry man who you are telling straight to his face that more hunger awaits him, to vote for you in your planned and promised NEXT LEVEL for him and the country? He may be forced to ask you, what hopes lie for him in your so called NEXT LEVEL? Is it the NEXT LEVEL of hunger, starvation, poverty, sufferings and hopelessness?
"I just hope Mr. President critically examines his words or choice of words, comments or statements as we approach the 2019 election. If his speech writers have gone on holidays or his spokespersons are tired of recycling same old excuses and stories of "the PDP destroyed the country in the last 16 years", then, he should smartly come up with a solution as time is fast running out.
"Mr. President, you are shaking the table sir!"
