The Simple Change Big Impact Challenge was one of the most participated
Nigerian community challenge in 2018. Organized by Guaranty Trust Bank
plc., as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Challenge
offered 20 Nigerians on Social Media the opportunity to get up to N1
million funds for their proposed ideas to add real value to their
communities.

One of the top 20 winning ideas is The “Warri Reads” Initiative, pitched
by Collins Azuike, founder of “New Warri.” After a successful
execution of the project Collins shares an update.
The New Warri, which is a social reform organization that promotes
education in the popular city of Delta State, established a local
library equipped with hundreds of books. The organization also planted
book clubs and book houses across local communities around the states.
Their goal is to establish at least 10 book clubs and offer over 100 library services by the end of 2019.
