Dulux Names ‘Monarch Gold as 2016 Colour of the Year -PHOTOS

Chemical and Allied Products (CAP) Plc, a subsidiary of UAC of Nigeria Plc. (UACN), manufacturers of Dulux premium brand of paints and the technological licensee of AkzoNobel, world’s largest coatings company has named ‘Monarch Gold’ as the Dulux 2016 Colour of the Year.


This is in line with the AkzoNobel global tradition and Dulux brand leadership positioning in Colour mastery.
According to DuluxColour Experts, the 2016 DuluxColour of the Year- ‘Monarch Gold’ is chosen out of a broad palette of yellows that best represents the golden influence of this year’s colour trends. Monarch Gold captures a friendly palette but with a dark mysterious side that adds to its beauty.

Speaking during a special briefing session with professionalstakeholder bodies including; Interior Design Association of Nigeria (IDAN), Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB),Nigerian Institute of Architects, Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and Dulux Decorators Club,the Managing Director, Chemical and Allied Products (CAP) Plc, Mrs. Omolara Elemide welcomed the esteemed stakeholders present and highlighted the company’s responsibility of communicating the annual global colour trend to Nigerians which has over the years been tagged the ‘DuluxColour of the Year’.

Steel chief warns of industry ‘bloodbath’

The CEO of ArcelorMittal SA, Paul O’Flaherty, has warned of a "bloodbath year", indicating that anti-dumping duties of as much as 30%-60% on some Chinese steel products could be needed to sustain the cash-strapped steel maker’s operations.
SA’s largest steel maker said it would seek to raise R4bn-R4.5bn by way of a rights issue underwritten by Luxembourg-based shareholder ArcelorMittal and that it was in talks with government on measures to ensure the longer-term viability of SA’s steel industry.

Exposure of Corruption at Joburg School by MEC

The former school governing body (SGB) and principal of Glenvista High School in Johannesburg squandered millions of rands in school funds on airline tickets and payments for timeshares and a holiday home, a forensic investigation released by Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi revealed on Monday. 
 
The governing body implicated was in charge of affairs at the school between 2012 and mid 2014, said Lesufi.
