He's Kanye West, bro.
The most outspoken rapper in hip hop humbly introduced himself to the world — as if they didn't know who he was — during his 4-minute rant at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday.
"I am Kanye West. And that feels really great to say especially this
year. I came here to present my new video, but before I do that. I'm
going to talk," he kicked off his highly-awaited unfiltered rambling.
Before introducing his new music video, Yeezy praised Beyoncé, alluding
to his 2009 VMAs interruption, in which he famously grabbed the mic
from Swift — creating a feud that is still ongoing.
The ever-vocal 39-year-old appeared to call a truce with Swift but went on to quickly throw shade at the pop star.
"I love you all! That's why I called her!" he explained, referencing the
never-ending drama with Swift over the racy lyrics of "Famous."
Surprisingly, West didn't have more to say about Swift but he did call
out Amber Rose as he continued to talk about his controversial video for
"Famous."
"The audacity to put Anna Wintour right next to Donald Trump. I mean, I
put Ray J in there bro! This is fame, bro! Like, I see you Amber… ," he
told his ex, who gave a smirk to the camera.
The egomaniac went on to name off his role models — naturally, adding himself to a list which included Walt Disney and Steve Jobs.
He also hailed Puff Daddy as an icon before finally turning to name his wife, Kim Kardashian.
West took advantage of his stage moment to release the music video for "Fade."
The odd video featured singer Teyana Taylor and husband, NBA player, Iman Shumpert.
West could end on another memorable note at the MTV ceremony. The
rapper is up for Video of the Year, competing against Justin Bieber,
Drake and Adele.
