Like having sex on the beach (hello, sand in your honeypot), switching positions is one of those ideas that often sounds way better in theory.
Finagling your bodies can totally interrupt your jam and make you feel self-conscious, says sex and relationship therapist Megan Fleming, Ph.D. Her suggestion? "Approach position transitions with an attitude of exploration—and then try, try again," says Fleming. With practice, you’ll eventually be able to flow from one move to the next—just like the sex panther you are.
To make that process a little easier, we're showing you sex moves that mesh together perfectly and explaining how to strategically adjust your bods from one move to the next. That way you can spend more time getting down and less time figuring out what to do with your hands.

If your dude’s got guns, consider
this sexy switcheroo. "This sequence requires that the guy can hold up the
woman and stay balanced during pelvic movement," says Aaron. In other
words, proceed with caution.
Since everyone likes to choose their own adventure, you’ve got a couple of options
with this one. If you’re up for a challenge, try pulling a 360. "Some
women are able to transition to a reverse cowgirl by rotating themselves over
the guy's erect penis," says Aaron. While you’re on top, place your hands
behind you on either side of his body, and lean back on them for support. Then,
straighten out your left leg, and swivel it up and over his chest so that
you’re riding him side-saddle. You should be on your feet at this point, rather
than your knees. Finally, rotate once more by putting both hands behind you, so
that they’re on the opposite side of your partner’s torso, and lift your right
leg up and over his body to the right. Ta-da! You’re backwards!
After doing the doggie, it's time to get low for even more P in V fun.
Lower your upper body so that you’re on your elbows and knees, instead of hands
and knees. Then, have your partner place his hands down on either side of your
body against the surface on which you are having sex, says Michael Aaron, Ph.D.,
a sex therapist in New York. From there, slowly ease your body all the way down
until you’re lying on your stomach, with him on top of you. "This way, he
can adjust his hips when you flatten out from the kneeling position," he
says. Voila!
X-rated Twister, anyone? This flow
is perfect for lazy sex when you don't really feel like moving. Have
your partner start by splaying his right hand out to the side, while shifting
his left leg to the opposite side, says Aaron. Then, have him use his right
foot to push off and pivot into the X-Factor position. He might need some
practice to pull it off smoothly, so just have some fun with it.
Let's be real, these two go together
like wine and Girl Scout cookies.
Here's how to nail them: First, your partner should put his hands down on
either side of his body, and then you can begin to recline. "Once you’re
on your back, he can lift himself upright and manipulate your legs and pelvis
as you please," says Aaron. Have him lift up your butt and prop your legs
on his shoulders. Admit it, you're kind of impressed with yourself, right?
