Analyst Lauren Lawrence reveals the secrets behind Daily News readers' dreams

SHE IS NOT HORSING AROUND

I dreamed I was petting a white horse’s head. He looked at me with such love in his eyes and then he moved closer to my face. That’s when I noticed he had no mane. He looked like he had had a crew cut and I commented that he had no mane as I stroked his stubby head. What does this mean?

Marie H., Holbrook, L.I.
Analysis: A horse is often a paternal symbol – particularly the head of a horse, which represents the patriarchal head of the family. As such, there is the wish to receive love, fatherly affection and closeness and to bestow the same. A white horse is often associated with the rescuer. The lack of a mane, however, reveals a sense of loss or powerlessness in the persona or the relationship. The crew cut, while humanizing the horse, reveals the wish to cut or sever emotional ties. In this view, something needs to be cut short.

SHE AWAITS THE RISE OF THE SUN
Before I fell asleep, my mind was burdened with discomforting thoughts about my love relationship and my fiancé’s loyalty to me. I dreamed I was taking several pairs of sunglasses out of the toilet bowl all at once. I didn’t have any sunglasses on; I was just holding them. There was this boy standing next to the toilet as well. Please decode this dream.

Sandra M., Deerfield Beach, Fla.
Analysis: The sunglasses that are almost flushed away reveal a conflicted wish not to see something clearly. At the very least, vision is compromised. If what was once needed for the bright sun of daylight is no longer needed, one understands that the sun has gone behind clouds and left a far bleaker visualization at present. The boy may represent your fiancé. If so, you want him to know that you no longer have the sun in your eyes, but hope to again in the future.
