Twitter puts video ads at top of users' timeline feeds

Twitter has told marketers they can now place video ads near the top of people's timeline feeds.

It says the First View feature will give their clips "premium placement" on users' devices. It is initially being rolled out to the US ahead of a global launch.
The announcement comes on the eve of the company's latest financial results.
One expert said the move might help boost Twitter's profits in the short-term but was likely to backfire.
"The reason why Facebook has been so successful of late is that it has been able to put sponsored posts and videos into people's feeds," commented Richard Holway, chairman of the TechMarketView consultancy.

Amber Rose responds with crude tweet, after Kanye west deletes tweets, and blasts Wiz Khalifa in epic Twitter rant after renaming album ‘Waves,’

Kanye West made “waves” Wednesday with an epic new Twitter rant.
The arrogant and outspoken West — who had just changed the title of his new album from “Swish” to “Waves” — blasted fellow rapper Wiz Khalifa on Twitter for suggesting he had no claim to the concept of “waves.”

Kanye West (r.) has some words for Wiz Khalifa.
“Bro first of all you stole your whole s--- from (Kid) Cudi,” West began his 27-tweet tirade.
“Second, your first single was corny as f--- and most there after.”

“3rd no one I know has ever listened to one of your albums all the way through.”
“4th you let a stripper trap you,” West wrote, presumably referring to the Pittsburgh rapper’s relationship with stripper-turned-model Amber Rose, whom West also dated from 2008 to 2010.
