Movie review: No stars — none! — for ‘Misconduct’ with Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins

When a greedy professional ignores standards and betrays the public trust, that's misconduct.

(FSC:KV)
And the people behind "Misconduct" should know.
This isn't a movie, it's a rapsheet, a series of assaults committed against its cast and its viewers.
A pair of legendary actors is criminally misdirected, two of Hollywood's prettiest actresses are sadistically abused and we're robbed of our time and money.
I've been to muggings that were more fun.

Macaulay Culkin channels traumatized, Grown-up version of ‘Home Alone’ character Kevin McCallister (WARNING: GRAPHIC LANGUAGE)

It turns out Kevin McCallister is still suffering from the trauma of being left "Home Alone" all those years ago.
Actor Macaulay Culkin resumes his old role of McCallister, 25 years later, in the new Web series "DRYVRS" — but he's certainly not still the same witty, inventive child character we all fell in love with.

In the short video, the long-haired, adult version of McCallister picks up a passenger for an Uber-like car service, quickly pulling out a cigarette while complaining about his wife.

MOVIE: One wedding and a funeral in 'Vampire Diaries' season 7, episode 8

The episode starts off in the future again, where Lily (Annie Wersching) seems to have taken Damon (Ian Somerhalder) captive. By Lily standards, this seems like pretty normal behavior.
What’s surprising is that, in the present day, Lily and her sons seem to be getting along. The Salvatore sons, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) sit down to plot Julian’s death — with Lily’s blessing, as per the last episode.
At the mansion, Lily is trying to plan a party to celebrate Nora (Scarlett Byrne) and Mary Louise’s (Teressa Liane) anniversary. Enzo confronts her while she’s in the library — because that’s totally the place everyone goes to plan a party — and confesses his love for her all over again.

Why I stopped acting –Saint Obi

He is one of the best actors Nollywood can boast of. When he came into the industry many years ago, there was virtually no blockbuster movie that didn’t feature him. From Candle Light to Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow to Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire to Executive Crime and his own production, Take Me to Mama, Obinna Nwafor popularly known as Saint Obi has scored big with his A-class performance. In this interview with TS Weekend, the fair skinned actor, director and producer narrates how he found a new passion in music and what he intends doing with it. Excerpts.

MOVIE - ‘The Walking Dead' recap: Daryl runs into a new threat

Spoiler alert: Do not read unless you have watched Sunday night's "The Walking Dead" episode "Always Accountable."
OK, now "The Walking Dead" is just torturing us.
Sunday night's installment raised a lot of big questions by introducing some new characters and threats - and maybe even a budding romance? - but the scream-at-your-screen moment came at the end, when a voice that COULD have been Glenn's croaked "Help!" over Daryl's walkie talkie.
The show has dragged out the fate of our beloved pizza deliveryman-turned-everyman hero for three weeks now, and even I'm starting to waver in my steadfast belief that we saw him ripped apart by zombies in this season's third episode, "Thanks."

Daryl (pictured), Abraham and Sasha have been leading the walkers 20 miles away - for a while, now.

Daryl (pictured), Abraham and Sasha have been leading the walkers 20 miles away - for a while, now.

Steven Yeun's name is still being left off of the opening credits, but the news that they've cast Negan, an infamous villain in the comics, to make his grand entrance in the season finale strongly suggests we haven't seen the last of Glenn, since these two characters have quite the storyline in the graphic novels.
But I digress.

‘Empire’ Season 2, Episode 6 recap: ‘High Hope for a Low Heaven’

Note: spoilers ahead
The men that kidnapped Hakeem are so-called in with the Lyon pride.
The shakedown
Amid her discovery that Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) has been kidnapped, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) heads to Empire's studio where she shows Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Jamal (Jussie Smollett) a video. Yep, it's extortion with a going rate of $40,000 for the missing Lyon son.

As seen on tape: the kidnappers bare longhorn tattoos and knock out Hakeem when he dubs them cowboys.

The hunt
This isn't your typical "snatch and grab" according to Lucious. After all, the kidnappers only asked for a little bit of money.
But Cookie doesn't care about the moola. She just wants her youngest safe and sound. They agree on a drop-off spot.

Back in business

Terrence Howard in the episode “A High Hope For A Low Heaven” of "Empire."
Andre (Trai Byers) is back in the boardroom, but facing some adversity by Lucious' ex-assistant Becky, who has a fancy for one of the acts that Dre thinks isn't bringing in profits to the new label, Gutter Records. Don't make Becky mad.

The Force Awakens' trailer scores big on 'Monday Night Football'

The Force is particularly strong with this trailer.
Disney dropped the final trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” the most eagerly awaited film in this or any other galaxy, at halftime of the Giants-Eagles game on Monday night.
The focus was very much on the trio of new heroes – Daisy Ridley’s scavenger Rey, John Boyega’s former Stormtrooper Finn and Oscar Isaac’s X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron – and most importantly Adam Driver’s villainous Kylo Ren.
Fans got their first chance to hear the wannabe Sith's voice.

John Boyega stars in the eagerly awaited seventh installment in the 'Star Wars' franchise.
“I was ready to do one thing and I’ve got nothing to fight for,” Ren says to the burnt husk of Darth Vader’s helmet in a scene ripped out of Shakespeare.

Seven of the sexiest sex scenes view!

Lupita Nyong'o leads play about survival and sisterhood by Danai Gurira

How does a sincere but preachy play that’s been making the rounds in the U.S. and Europe since 2008 finally get to New York and become a must-see?
Star power. And Lupita Nyong’o, whose heartbreaking work in “12 Years a Slave” won her an Oscar, and Danai Gurira, a writer and actress now famous as the zombie-mauling Michonne on “The Walking Dead,” deliver a double wallop of the stuff.
Between them, they’ve made tickets for the show at the Public Theater hard to get. But it’s worth trying, especially for Nyong’o, whose gripping and assured work oozes emotion and anchors this production.
Pascale Armand, Saycon Sengbloh, and Lupita Nyong’o in "Eclipsed."
Like Lynn Nottage’s “Ruined,” this drama follows women in the crossfire of African civil war. In 2003 Liberia, captive women lead bleak lives as unofficial wives of a rebel general. They’re job is to give sex on demand. Awful. But they’re alive. Sort of.
